Sonoma Sipping Squad
ICYMI, last week I got to visit wine country with my husband Ty’s family - his parents, his adult siblings and their spouses - sans the 9 kiddos between us all! I missed my babies terribly but wow do parents-only vacays just hit different… everyone gets a chance to unwind, sleep through the night, actually talk to each other!?? Twas magical ngl.
I had visited Sonoma twice before to film the three episodes of Guy’s Grocery Games I’ve competed on — the grocery store set is right there in the heart of Sonoma near Guy Fieri’s home, which is so wild. While filming back in 2021 (episodes here and here) and 2022 (episode here), I had the chance to eat at a few great spots but it was so much fun having time to really explore the valley during the day. Sonoma has such a different vibe from Napa — Sonoma is way more relaxed, much cooler in the morning & night and specializes in Pinot Noir & Chardonnay winemaking. I’m a converted lover of both after this trip!!
